📘 How to choose — your buying guide
The wing is your engine: its size and construction determine your wind range, control and feel. F-ONE offers a complete range, from first flight to top level.
What size? (the most important)
Size depends on your weight and the wind. Indicative reference (medium wind 15–22 knots):
- Under 65 kg: 3.5 – 4.5 m²
- 65 – 85 kg: 4.5 – 5.5 m²
- Over 85 kg: 5.5 – 6.5 m²
A bigger wing pulls better in light wind and helps take off; a smaller one handles strong wind and stays agile. With two sizes (e.g. 4 m² + 5/6 m²) you cover most sessions.
The F-ONE range
- SWING: the accessible benchmark — stable and balanced, perfect to learn and progress.
- STRIKE: freeride performance — lighter and livelier, better drift and wind range.
- STRIKE CWC (Carbon Wrapped Construction): carbon monobloc handle, more stiffness and less weight.
- STRIKE ALUULA: ultralight and ultra-stiff ALUULA fabric — maximum wind range and top reactivity.
Construction & weight: why it matters
The lighter and stiffer a wing, the better it holds light wind without flopping, the easier it pumps to take off and the less your arms tire. Hierarchy: ALUULA > CWC > standard Dacron. To start, a SWING in standard construction is the best fun-to-price ratio.
