Wingfoil
Wingfoiling in Switzerland: wings, boards and foils at Elevate Surf. Wingfoiling works perfectly on Lake Neuchâtel, even in light wind. What you need to ride
- A wing: about 4 to 5 m² for most riders, bigger for light wind
- A board: to start, a volume of roughly your weight plus 25 to 40 litres
- A complete foil: mast, fuselage, front wing and stabiliser; a big front wing takes off early and stays stable
- A leash, and later a wing harness for long sessions
Packs or piece by piece
Packs combine a board and a compatible foil: the easiest way to start. Later you upgrade piece by piece: a smaller front wing for speed, a longer mast, a more compact board.
Downwind and pocket wing
Long downwind boards, pocket wings and high-aspect foils open up other ways to ride our lakes. Send us your weight and level and we will put together a consistent set-up. Delivery time is shown on each product page.

Getting started in wingfoil: board, foil and wing
To start wingfoiling you need three well-matched elements: a board, a foil and a wing. Well matched, they get you up to speed fast. Here's the essential.
1. The board — stability first
Aim for volume = your weight (kg) + 30 to 40 L to start (e.g. 80 kg → 110–120 L). Wide and stable. See the board guide →
2. The foil — lifty and forgiving
Choose large surface area, low aspect ratio and a shorter mast (75–85 cm): early lift, stable flight, easy pumping (GRAVITY / PHANTOM). See the foil guide →
3. The wing — the right size
Depending on weight and wind, usually 4 to 5.5 m², on a stable, balanced model (SWING). See the wing guide →

Start stable and lifty: you'll progress much faster, then refine later. Mind the connection compatibility (mast / foil / board).
