The Barracuda High Aspect Series is designed for foilers seeking extreme efficiency and uncompromising speed. Each wing in the range is engineered to deliver maximum glide, responsiveness, and top-end performance for riders pushing the limits of modern foiling.
The Downwind Foil Barracuda L Complete Carbon pairs the MB Front Wing Barracuda L with the Carbon Mast Drive HM 85, the FM Stabilizer Barracuda S, and the MB Tail M/S, creating a perfectly balanced setup designed for efficient downwind SUP foiling and advanced dock starts.
With a projected area of 1050 cm², a 1050 mm wingspan, a chord of 142 mm, a volume of 860 cm³, and an aspect ratio of 10.6, the MB Front Wing Barracuda L provides an outstanding balance of early lift, smooth glide, and agile turning. The MB Front Wing Barracuda L offers a very low take-off speed, and despite its generous span, remains agile and responsive, enabling tight and controlled turns. The MB Front Wing Barracuda L also provides excellent pumpability, resulting in exceptional control at speed.
Effortless, ultra-efficient glide and pumpability
With an aspect ratio of 10.6, the MB Front Wing Barracuda L is engineered for maximum efficiency. It delivers exceptional glide and pumpability, maintaining speed with minimal input. The combination of high lift and a direct, responsive pumping feel supports sustained downwind performance and speed progression.
High-speed performance
Purpose-built for high-level performance, the MB Front Wing Barracuda L accelerates rapidly and maintains elevated speeds with impressive stability – ideal for those pursuing progression, adrenaline, and peak velocity.
Monobloc construction for superior stiffness
The Front Wing’s monobloc construction integrates the wing directly into the fuselage, creating a single, rigid structure. This flex-free connection enhances stability, responsiveness, and hydrodynamic efficiency by minimising drag.
Gullwing shape for stability and carve-friendly handling
The carefully engineered Gullwing design provides an optimal balance between straight-line efficiency and agile turning. The straight mid-section ensures maximum glide and early lift, while the downward curve and recurve tips deliver progressively increasing yaw stability. The result is a wing that tracks confidently while maintaining intuitive carving capability.
Accessories
The foil is supplied with high-quality sleeves, appropriate screws, and the T45 L-Tool.
