STRIKE V6: why choose it?
The STRIKE V6 is the sixth generation of F-ONE's versatile wing. It is the one we recommend most often in the shop, for a simple reason: on Swiss lakes, a wing that covers a wide wind range is worth more than two specialised wings.
Nine sizes, from 2.0 to 6.0 m²
The STRIKE V6 comes in nine sizes: 2.0, 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0, 5.5 and 6.0 m², in two colourways (ONYX / MINT and Onyx / Lilac). The middle sizes – 4.5 to 5.5 – sell the most, because they match the 12 to 18 knot thermal winds on Lake Neuchâtel and Lake Geneva.

STRIKE V6 or STRIKE V5?
Both generations are in the catalogue, and the question comes up in every conversation. The facts:
- The STRIKE V6 costs from CHF 809.90 (2.0 m²) to CHF 1'162.90 (6.0 m²). F-ONE reworked the fabric tension so the profile stays stable even when overpowered, and kept the Sweep Control Panel that manages trailing-edge tension.
- The STRIKE V5, the previous generation, is now only available as run-out stock: check the sizes available on its product page.
Our view: if you already ride regularly and want stability at the top of the wind range, the V6 is worth it. If you are starting out in wingfoil, put your budget into a larger front wing instead: that is what gets you flying early, far more than the generation of the wing.
When another wing makes more sense
The STRIKE is not the answer to everything. If your programme is downwind or pure waves, a more specialised wing will suit you better. If you want absolute simplicity for your first sessions, a beginner wing costs less and resells well. We would rather tell you before you buy than after.
Try it on the lake
We are in Neuchâtel and you can try before you buy. It is the only reliable way to know whether the size you have in mind suits your weight and your spot – a spec sheet will never tell you that.
