Mâts

Foil masts

The mast connects board to wing and passes on every impulse. Its length changes your flight clearance; its material changes the feel underfoot.

Which length to choose?

  • 65 to 75 cm — surf foil, waves and shallow water. You stay close to the surface and falls are gentler.
  • 80 to 85 cm — the best compromise for wing, and the best-selling length.
  • 95 to 105 cm — maximum clearance, pumping and light wind. Needs deep water.

Aluminium or carbon?

Aluminium is tough and affordable: ideal to start, for schools, or as a spare. Carbon is stiffer and lighter — pumping gets sharper and control more direct. At F-ONE, HM (high modulus) and UHM (ultra high modulus) add another step in stiffness.

Mind the connection standard

Recent F-ONE masts use the TITAN 2 standard. One generation does not always fit the other: if in doubt, write to us before ordering and we will check compatibility with your foil.

How to choose your F-ONE mast

The mast connects your board to the foil: its length and material radically change the ride.

What length?

  • Short (75–82 cm): safer and easier, ideal for shallow water, learning and small waves.
  • 85 cm: the versatile default, a good compromise for most riders.
  • Long (90 cm+): more margin before breaching, better control in chop, at speed and upwind. For experienced riders.

Aluminium or carbon?

  • Aluminium: tough and affordable, a bit heavier and softer — perfect to start.
  • Carbon (incl. high modulus HM): stiff and light, direct transmission and better efficiency — to progress and perform.

Check the connection compatibility (Monobloc, plate, deep tuttle) between your mast, foil and board.
