The Evolve DW V1 is a downwind board: long (7'0), narrow and high-volume (115 L), designed to glide and accelerate with minimal effort. It works for downwind SUP foiling as well as wing foiling in very light wind, when a short board will not take off.
The slim silhouette and pintail improve directional stability and make pumping more efficient to keep speed between bumps. Carbon CVC over an EPS core. For intermediate to advanced foilers.
On a wingfoil board, volume is the number-one criterion: it determines how easily you stand up and how stable the start is.
A wide board is more stable at the start; a narrow, short board is more agile in flight. For construction, carbon makes it lighter and livelier (better pumping); bamboo/PVC builds offer great value and toughness to start.
