The 5'2 Surf Foil board was developed in Fuerteventura by foil expert Gunnar Biniasch and is aimed at heavier foil surfers. The flat scoop rocker line, the tail kick and the generous 58.5 litres of volume make it very easy to get going in the wave and to lift off early.
On a wingfoil board, volume is the number-one criterion: it determines how easily you stand up and how stable the start is.
A wide board is more stable at the start; a narrow, short board is more agile in flight. For construction, carbon makes it lighter and livelier (better pumping); bamboo/PVC builds offer great value and toughness to start.
