MAGMA Hood 2mm

The MAGMA hood has a double flap: one stays outside the collar of your wetsuit while the other tucks inside. That creates a double barrier against water flushing in and holds the hood perfectly in place.

On materials, we kept our Reflex-skin jersey everywhere freedom of movement is needed: neck, around the face, chin. The top of the head and the ears are built in waterproof, windproof glide-skin neoprene to protect against wind chill. The inside is lined with our MAGMA fleece for unrivalled warmth and fast drying.

The perfect hood for getting through winter with a warm head while keeping good mobility.

Update: from the FW24 collection onwards, all our hoods have been modified for a wider face opening. This brings more comfort and lets you wear the hood under the chin without it feeling too tight.

Magma Plus
MAGMA PLUS comes from a new generation of thermal materials: its fleece insulates and keeps you warm even on the worst winter days. Thanks to its fast-drying fleece and its internal structure, which acts as a channel to drain water away, drying time is cut by around 30 % compared with a conventional fleece. Water is drained quickly before moisture creates bad odours and poor hygiene.

DESIGNED IN 3D
While the industry standard is to develop a 2D pattern and then try to fit it to a 3D body, we chose to innovate and change method. We use design software to model well-fitting hoods in 3D, then an innovative program converts them into a precise 2D pattern for our factory. MANERA hoods stand out thanks to that natural fit — like a second skin.
