The F-One UHM Carbon Mast 12 mm is the thinnest and highest-performing mast in the F-One range. Its 12 mm profile combined with Ultra High Modulus carbon (UHM) reduces drag and unlocks speed. Here is what it is for and who it suits.
What is a 12 mm mast?
The number refers to the profile thickness of the mast. The thinner it is (12 mm vs 14 or 16 mm), the less resistance in the water. The result: reduced drag, better efficiency and a higher top speed.
Why UHM carbon?
Ultra High Modulus is a very stiff carbon. Combined with the thin profile, it prevents the mast from twisting or vibrating at high speed. The result is a mast that is thin, stiff and light – the ideal combo for performance.
12, 14 or 16 mm: which to choose?
The 16 mm is versatile and forgiving, ideal to start and progress. The 14 mm is a good performance/control compromise. The 12 mm targets experienced riders chasing speed, light-wind efficiency and pure glide (race, downwind, performance foil).
Who is it for?
The 12 mm mast is designed for advanced foilers who prioritise speed and efficiency. On the often light-wind Swiss lakes, its low drag also helps keep flying in light wind.
